Disabled and Limbless Veterans

Our Mission

We are a group of Veterans and civilian volunteers providing meals, clothing, and shelter to America’s most needy Veterans and their families. We are the conduit between individual and corporate donors and Veterans and their families who need services and support.

Our vision is to empower and improve the lives of Veterans and their families by providing assistance and support.   We seek to educate the community about the needs of Veterans and the opportunities to meet these needs. We want Veterans to know we care and hope to inspire others to care.
We solicit donations of food from local restaurants and supermarkets to:

  • Serve meals at VA hospitals and clinics.
  • Provide luncheons at transitional housing facilities.
  • Offer holiday meals to Veterans at home, in transitional housing, and in shelters.

We acquire new and gently used clothing from generous members of the community and also corporate donors to:

  • Provide suits and business clothing through our Suits for Success program to Veterans participating in the Veterans Treatment Court Programs.
  • Supply new shoes and clothing through donations from generous corporations.
  • Provide gently used clothing to Veterans in shelters and transitional housing through clothing drives.

We help provide shelter by:

  • Offering temporary housing to individual Veterans on an emergency basis.
  • Improving physical and recreational facilities by providing bedding and recreational equipment to shelters and transitional housing facilities.
  • Providing hand-crafted quilts and wheelchair lap robes to Veterans housed in VA hospitals and facilities.
